Our Story
A practice built on patience.
Reverie began in 2018 with a single renovation and a conviction: that the best rooms are the ones you stop noticing, because they simply work. No signature look, no house style, just careful attention to the people who will live and work in the space.
Since then we've completed homes, cafés, offices, and clinics across Melbourne and beyond. The process hasn't changed. Every project still begins with listening, and ends when the space feels inevitable.
We remain deliberately small. Two designers, a studio in Fitzroy, and a short list of trades we trust with our name.

Listen first
The brief is rarely what's said in the first meeting. We ask about habits, mornings, and the rooms you avoid, and the design follows from the answers.

Edit, don't decorate
Our favourite projects are built around pieces clients already love. We believe in removing until what remains is right, not adding until nothing is.

Materials with memory
Timber that marks, stone that wears, linen that softens. We choose materials that improve with use, because a home should look better at year ten than day one.

Calm over spectacle
We don't design for the photograph. Light, proportion, and mood are refined in dialogue with you, until the space feels less designed than discovered.
